Chat

GlarAssist Chat feature enables any session participant to send a text message through the app or via the web, to ensure that communication among members is done regardless the environment conditions. Users can also send files through the Chat.

To see received messages or to send an instant text message through the chat, click on the right-hand side text message icon. To send a message, write the message and then click on the button right hand side icon with an arrow pointing east. To send a file, click on the attach botton, select your file, and click in “Send".

When someone sends a file in the chat, the user in the smartglasses will be able to see it without having to open the chat. If someone on the session sent a file in the chat, the information will be automatically displayed on the screen (see image below). At this point, the smartglasses user can open the file or close the window.

Compatible media files: pictures (png, bmp, jpeg, etc..), videos ( avi, MPEG, mp4, etc..) and PDFs. 

In the chat window, it's possible to see which participants enter and leave the session. This way, all participants are informed about who is part of the session and who is not. Ask for new participants to join the session or interact with the ones that already joined the visual remote assistance session.

To see who is entering and leaving the session, the participants will be notified through the chat window with the information. 

• For participants who are joining the session, the following message will appear in the chat conversation: "User name" joined the session.
• For participants who are leaving the session, the following message will appear in the chat "User name"  left the session.
