Adding Tools During Execution

How to add tools to your work orders while execute them?


You can add tools to your work order after you have started it. This can be useful if you need tools that have not been inserted into your work order previously. This way you can keep a record of the tools you have used for that procedure and help manage tools availability. You can use this new feature whether you're executing your work order on mobile devices or in the web application.

This new feature can be found in the release note version 0.72.0.


1. Add tools while executing on mobile devices

After starting your work order, there are two ways to add tools. Through your work order details tab, or through the "Add" icon during task execution.


1.1. Add tools through work order details tab

Inside your work order, access the "Details" tab. Then, on the bottom of your details page, tap on the "Tools" field. A new window will open, where you can see all the tools associated with your work order. Then, to add a new tool, you just need to tap the "Add tools" button. 

After this, all existent tools will appear. You can select the tools you want to add by pressing on them. After you select all the desired tools, you just need to tap on the "Add" button 

After tapping to add the selected tools, they will appear in the list of tools associated with the process on the details tab. 

Note: When selecting the needed tool from the tools list you can search by name on the search bar, or filter by storage, code, and labels by tapping on the filter icon.

Additionally, you can read a QR Code and directly add the tool you need. To do that just tap the QR Code icon on the right top corner of the screen and scan it.  


1.2. Add tools through an "add" icon during task execution

If you no longer have direct access to the work order details tab, you will still have an icon that makes it possible to add tools at any moment. This icon allows you to add tools, materials, and times to your work order. 

You just need to tap the " + " icon and then choose the option "Add tools". Then, to add a new tool, you just need to tap the "Add tools" button.

After this, all existent tools will appear. The rest of the process will be the same as described previously.


2. Add tools while executing on web application

You can also add tools while executing a work order through the web application. After starting the execution of your work order, you can access the "Add Tools" option at any time. For that, you just need to click on the "Add" icon on the page's bottom right corner.

Several options will pop up, click on the "Add tools" option. 

After this, you will be redirected to the work order tools page. There, you will be able to see the tools that are assigned to your current work order. To add tools simply click on the "Add tools" button, which is located at the top right-hand corner of the page.

If there are no tools assigned to your current work order, you will see the following page. To add new tools just click on the "Add tool" button. 

In both cases, after clicking on the button, a new window will pop up. All existenting tools will appear and you will be able to see their availability. 

Select which tools you want to add to the work order by checking the boxes.  

After you select all desired tools, you just need to tap on the "Add" button

As previously demonstrated on mobile execution, you can also easily find the tool you are looking for on the web application using the search bar or by scanning a QR Code that will immediately redirect you to the respective tool. 

After adding the selected tools, you will receive a message indicating that the operation was successful. 

Here you will be able to observe that all the added tools will now appear in the list of tools associated with the work order.
