How to attribute roles and define permissions?
It is possible to easily determine which information and functionalities each user can access within the platform. To do this, you just need to define the roles of each user and assign different permissions to each role.
For example, a manager, a field operator or a supervisor will have different needs and different ways of interacting with the platform. Therefore, you can create different roles with specific types of permissions, according to the needs of each individual.
1. Create a New Role
Go to the main menu and click on "Settings". Then select "Roles" under the "Security" category.

On the roles page, new users will have a role by default "Super Admin" that cannot be deleted nor edited. This role gives permission to do everything inside the platform.

You can now create a new role by clicking on the "Create" button.

Now, you can configure the role name and description.

When you click "Create", you are redirected to the roles creation window. Here you can select what users with this role can and can't do within the platform.

In case you want to edit the name or description of your role, just click on the three dots icon in the top right corner, then select "Edit" and change it.

Note: In this menu, you can also choose the “Delete” option if you want to remove the role.
2. Defining Permissions
By clicking on the "Viewer" arrow, is possible to choose between different default permissions.

Each permission category enables access to specific groups of features within the Connected Worker platform.

After configuring all role parameters, click on the "Save" button which will appear at the bottom of the page.
3. Edit Permissions of an Existent Role
To edit a role's permissions, simply hover over the role you want to edit and click on the "Edit" icon that appears on the right side of the screen.

You will be then redirected to the authorizations window, where you can edit the permissions.
4. Duplicate, Delete and Search for Roles
To duplicate or delete a roll, simply hover your mouse over it and click on the three-dot icon that appears on the right side of the screen. Then click on the option you want - “Duplicate” or “Delete”.

If you want to delete or duplicate several roles at once, simply select them and then click on the "Delete" or "Duplicate" button that appears above.

In case you have a large number of roles and need to search for a specific one, just use the search bar in the top right corner to search for the role's name.

Note: It is not allowed to have two roles with the same name, so each role will have a unique name by which it can be searched.
