Chat Guide

Access, create, and manage the platform chat

Stay connected and communicate with other colleagues, team members, and supervisors through Glartek's platform chat. Users can share messages, media, and files about different internal topics that the team may have to discuss, request help, or even access instructions from the supervisors.

Note: Only available on Glartek's web application at the moment.

1. Access platform chat

To access the platform chat go to the main menu and click in the "Chat" tab.

After clicking, the chat page will open. If you haven't created a chat yet or haven't been added to one, you will not see any conversations.

2. Create new chat

To create a new chat you have two options. Click on the "Add user" option in the middle of your screen or click the “+” button at the top of the chat.  

Whatever option you choose, a window will open where you must add the user with whom you want to chat. Just search for the user and select him.

Then just click “Start”.

A new chat window will then appear on the left panel of the screen with the selected user. On the right, you will find your open chat with the selected person.

3. Group chat

To create a group chat, it is necessary to create a chat with several users. To do this, add more than one user when creating a new chat. 

After clicking on start a new group chat window will then appear on the left panel of the screen with the selected users.

You can then change the name of your group chat by clicking on the “Edit” button at the top of the chat.

A new window will appear where you can enter your new group name.

After clicking “Save” the name of the group chat will be changed.

4. Add and remove users

To add new users to your group chat click on the user's icon in the top right corner of the chat. 

Then choose the “Add participants” option.

Alternatively, if you decide to remove a user from the group, simply hover the mouse over the user you want to remove and click on the “Remove” icon.

To leave the group, simply select the “Leave" chat option.

5. Access and add files

You can add files to your messages by clicking on the “Add files” button in the bottom left corner of the chat. 

To see all the files that have already been uploaded to this group, just click on the file library at the top of the chat. 

6. Search conversations

To search for a specific conversation, simply enter the name of a user or group in the search bar.
